Andalusia offers all non-resident international travellers a free insurance policy with Covid-19 coverage for stays in any type of regulated establishment * in Andalusia between 1 January and 31 December 2021
COVERAGE INCLUDED
Coverage and assumptions covered in the event of contracting Covid-19.
Medical, surgical and hospitalisation expenses: The insurance company (**) will cover the following:
- Medical and surgical expenses with a maximum expense of 4.000 euros.
- Costs of medicines related to the recovery period of COVID.
- Hospital costs.
- People covered by the insurance: patients and accompanying persons. As a sick person we understand the person diagnosed with COVID-19. As a partner we consider the members of the family, spouse or partner of the insured person who lives with the insured person, and the descendants of both spouses (parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren). As a quarantine, we consider the quarantine of people for a period of time as a way of avoiding or limiting the risk of transmission of illnesses.
MEDICAL EXPENSES FOR TRANSPORT AND REPATRIATION
The insurer will cover the following:
- Expenses for ambulance or transport of the patient from the place of the first diagnosis to the hospital centre prescribed by the treating doctor.
- Expenses of return to the place of holiday from the hospital where he has been treated.
- Repatriation by medical plane if the emergency or the seriousness of the case requires it (only for Europe and Mediterranean coastal countries). For passengers with other origins, a regular medicalised line will be used.
TRANSPORT OR REPATRIATION
- If the patient is transferred or repatriated by COVID-19, the insurance will also provide insurance for the insured companion, who will assume that the patient has been transferred or repatriated to his habitual place of residence or in the hospital where he will be hospitalised. The right to the insured person's return ticket will be exercised by the insurer.
- If the insured person is a minor or a disabled person, if there is no person of trust, a person will be made available to accompany the patient to the residence or hospital.
TRANSPORT OR REPATRIATION OF THE DECEASED BY COVID-19
- It covers the necessary procedures to be performed when the patient dies.
- The cost of transporting the companions to the cemetery is included, with the right of return ticket being subrogated to the insurer.
- If the insured person is a minor or a disabled person, if there is no person of trust, a person will be provided to accompany the patient to the residence or hospital
EXPENSES OF EXTENSION OF STAY
At the hotel of the insured and his/her companions (including quarantine). The insured person may stay in a hotel after being hospitalised or under a medical quarantine prescription.
